We’ve become overmedicated

Regarding “Six in 10 take prescriptions (Nov. 4)”: Is this really a surprise? Has anyone watched television lately? Every other commercial is for either over-the-counter or prescription drugs touting relief for everything from sniffles to diabetic nerve pain, along with the myriad of possible side effects, including death.

We’ve become a nation of overmedicated robots unable to cope with the slightest discomfort. Personally, I find it disgusting.
