Hospitals open, some clinics closed after storm

Spokane’s hospitals were open, but some clinics remained closed Wednesday as a result of power outages.

Providence Medical Park in Spokane Valley was closed Wednesday, though the urgent care center remained open, said Liz DeRuyter, a spokeswoman for Providence Health. People who have appointments at Providence clinics should call to make sure the clinics are open, she said.

Rockwood Clinic was closed, though many of the Rockwood Health System’s other clinics were open. Rockwood Health officials were hopeful that all clinics would be open Thursday.
