GOP must secure borders

Far too long, Republicans have ignored our open borders. Laws have been on the books for decades, but you often ignore them. Republicans falsely claim our immigration laws need fixing. With all due respect, they are wrong, our laws need enforcing, but first our borders must be secured.

Our nation’s borders are like the hull of a mighty ship. If the hull is compromised and the water allowed to flood, the mighty ship will soon sink and be destroyed. America is being flooded as well. Every day President Obama is ripping open the hull of our mighty nation and allowing it to be flooded by those coming here illegally, yet the Republican leadership does nothing effective to stop the flooding.

They have a constitutional duty to ensure the president follows the laws and Constitution. They repeatedly tell their constituents “I believe,” but faith without works is dead. If Republicans fail to ensure our laws are enforced and our borders immediately secured, then Republicans will share in the blame should Islamic extremists again attack our country. Do you not remember 9/11 and France?

Republicans must act now to secure our borders. If they want my vote? Secure our borders.
