Soon thereafter the family (including an older sister, Joan and brother, Robert) moved to Michigan and later to Rocky River, Ohio.

This was where she lived during her formative years.

She was a cheerleader and straight ‘A” student through high school.

It was at CU that she met Don Krause in 1954. they were married June 18th, 1955 in a double wedding along with her sister, Joan and Jim Dutton.

Thus began a joyful marriage that lasted over 60 years until she passed.

They had three sons, David, Steven and Robert who were the pride and joy of her life.

In turn her grandchildren: Jacque, Steven, Mindy, Alicia and Kyle have been a constant source of pride, joy and love.

Consequently there are eight great-grandchildren for her lavished affections.

Rusty touched the lives of many with her radiant smile, wise advice, grace and abundant love.

The Krauses settled in Spokane, WA after Don’s retirement from the Air Force.

Don became a Realtor and Rusty was the office manager.

Following a long no-notice state inspection of the business, the inspector requested copies of Rusty’s accounting and office procedures to share with other small businesses because hers were the best he had ever seen in his many years as an inspector.

For twenty years the Krauses have been “Snowbirds” spending summers on Deer Lake, WA and winters in Sun City, AZ.
