Man accused of assault and stealing victim’s pants, cash and cellphone

A man is in the Spokane County Jail on suspicion of assaulting a man he accused of disrespecting his mother.

The victim told police that he met a woman after the Huey Lewis and the News concert at Northern Quest and the two exchanged phone numbers. He said he invited her to his room after she later texted him and said she wanted to come see him, according to court documents.

He said a younger woman and two men, one of the them identified as Dustin T. Perrin, entered his room instead. He told police that the men punched him in the face. One of his ankles was broken in the scuffle, according to court documents.

Perrin reportedly told police that he believed the victim was being disrespectful to a woman he considered his mother but said it was his friend that assaulted the victim, not him, according to court documents.

Video surveillance shows the trio entering the man’s room and shows Perrin holding what appears to be the man’s pants as he leaves the room.

The victim told police that his pants, car keys, cellphone and some cash were stolen during the incident. Perrin is being held on $100,000 bond on a charge of first-degree robbery.
