Interest grows in NBA’s Canada Series

The Toronto Raptors and their passionately devoted fan base will kick off the NBA’s biggest Canada Series of preseason games yet when they play Chris Paul, Blake Griffin and the Los Angeles Clippers in Vancouver on Sunday. Yet in some ways, that is just the undercard. The Minnesota Timberwolves and Canadian star Andrew Wiggins will play in two of the four games this year, one in Ottawa and one in Winnipeg. Wiggins’ participation has brought more anticipation given his high profile at home. The Toronto native won rookie of the year honors last year after being the No. 1 overall pick. – Associated Press
