Obituary: Campeau, Joan E. (Misner)

Age 46

CAMPEAU, Joan E. (Misner) February 28, 1969- September 12, 2015 Passed away suddenly at her home in Clarksville, TN.

She was born in Indianapolis, IN and lived in San Clemente, CA until 1978 when the family moved to Spokane, WA.

Joan is preceded in her death by her grandparents and son, Michael William Simons.

Survivors include her husband Larry Campeau; son Gabriel Simons; parents Bill and Celia Misner; siblings Daniel, Dinah, and Joshua and stepsons Joseph and Alan.

Joan graduated from Shadle Park High School in 1985 where she was voted as “Most Inspirational” Women’s Cross Country team.

She entered Gonzaga University at 16 years old.

Leaving school, she worked in food service for many years, briefly attending Spokane Community College and other Correspondence Schools.

Her latest courses were towards a degree in Forensic Science.

She loved writing poetry and short stories and recently published her third book “Depravity” through LuLu.Com Publishing.

She received the Paul Revere award for Poetry.

Joan was fun-loving and shared her faith in Jesus Christ at any opportunity.

She loved to cook, crochet, play music, write, and enjoyed her cat, Sophie.

Cremation was conducted September 19, 2015 in Clarkesville, TN.

A Memorial Service will be held at 3 pm on Saturday, October 10, 2015 at Heritage Funeral Chapel, Spokane, WA with Pastor Terry Roberts officiating.
