Obituary: Fisher, Robert Leroy

Age 79

FISHER, Robert Leroy (Age 79) Has taken an eternal rest from farming to be with our Lord on September 1, 2015.

Bob, known as ‘Pa’ by family and in the Otis Orchards and East Farms farming communities, was born in Columbia Falls, Montana on October 15, 1935 to Otto and Virginia Fisher.

He spent his early years in Montana and worked in the logging/lumber industry.

In 1966 Pa, with wife Dorothy and their two sons, moved to Alaska where he worked as a Foreman for the City of Fairbanks Public Works.

In 1976 he and Dorothy moved to Ocean Park, WA and worked as a Water Distribution Manager.

In 1986 they relocated to Spokane to join his brother, Chuck, in C.P.

Fisher Concrete Placement.

Later, Pa retired to his true passion, farming.

He was most happy while on his green tractor putting up hay as well as welcoming new baby livestock each year and caring for his farm animals.

Pa enjoyed golf, bowling and downhill skiing until health issues forced him to give them up.

His family meant the world to Pa.

He especially loved spending time with his seven great-granddaughters.

The little girls loved helping him with farm chores and they adored him.

Pa was preceded in death by parents, Otto and Virginia, his son Larry; sisters Helen, Phyllis and Mary; brothers, Jim, Ed and John.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Dorothy, his son Robert (wife Jody), brothers Alvin and Chuck Fisher and sister Linda, six grandchildren and seven great-granddaughters.

You are welcome to join the family for a Potluck Celebration of Life on Saturday, October 17, 2015, 1:00 pm at the Newman Lake Tri-Community Grange #1008 at E. 25025 Heather Lane, Newman Lake, WA (Trent and Starr Rd).
