Obituary: Knight, Fern Elizabeth

Age 78

KNIGHT, Fern Elizabeth On July 4th, 1937, Fern Elizabeth Knight was born to parents Herman and Calla Mills.

Eighteen years after, she graduated from Walla Walla High School and went on to attend Kinman Business School in Spokane, Washington.

Her life is an example of all-around success.

Fern and James Knight were bound in matrimony through sickness and health on December 27th, 1958 in Colville, Washington.

In the 57 years of marriage, Fern and James built a beautiful life together.

Knight Construction and Supply Incorporated and North Vista Mobile Home Park were founded and co-owned by Fern and her husband James.

Fern Elizabeth enjoyed spending time with her friends and family.

Today, she is survived by her brother, Fred Mills; husband, James Knight; and sons, Douglas, Kenneth, and David Knight.

She is also survived by grand and great-grandchildren.

Quilting was a hobby that Fern often turned to in her free time and quilts for her sons and grandchildren were created in the process.

Fern loved to travel and in the last years before her passing she sought out many new places in the Western United States with James at her side.

Friends and family can attest to the character brought to the lives she came in contact with.

She was comical and kind, two characteristics that are shown through those who have survived her.

She will be remembered by memories from the past and be forever thought of in the future by her loved ones.

Those closest to her understand the indescribable impact she left on the people who knew her.

On Thursday October 1st, 2015 Fern Elizabeth Knight passed away peacefully.

She will forever be with us.

Memorial Services will be held October 10th, 2015 at Peaceful Valley Church at 10:00 a.m.

Peaceful Valley Church is located at 201 Allen Road, Elk, Washington 99006.

Family requests that everyone dress casual and please no flowers.
