Obituary: Meyer, Maryjean “Mj”

Age 55

MEYER, MaryJean “MJ” (Age 55) Of Pullman, died October 5, 2015 at Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane, WA.

MJ was born April 1, 1960 in Spokane, WA.

She grew up in Uniontown, WA and attended Guardian Angel St. Boniface Catholic School and graduated from Colton High School in 1978.

MJ attended Gonzaga University in Spokane.

She went to work as a teller in the banking industry for a time but spent the majority of her career serving children through 4-H as well as the Clarkston School District.

On March 23, 1985 MJ married Chris Meyer at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Uniontown.

The family made their home in Colfax, Oakesdale, Heppner, OR, Clarkston and Spokane through the years and just recently had moved back to where they started their marriage, Pullman.

MJ was a loving and devoted wife and mother, always providing the best for her husband and daughters.

She was active with the girls in 4-H through the years.

MJ had many interests and had a creative personality in the kitchen.

She enjoyed cooking, sewing, crafting, playing cards and family gatherings.

MJ was accepting of all peoples and treated everyone as an equal, which lead many kids to look at her as a second Mom.

She was a member of Sacred Heart Parrish in Pullman and was a longtime member of the Cougar Club, attending sporting events with her husband Chris.

She is survived by her husband Chris at the family home in Pullman; her daughters, Jackie Meyer of Moscow, Kelsey Meyer of Pullman; three brothers, Jim Reisenauer, Dan (Karen) Reisenauer, John Reisenauer; and sister, Dorothy (Barry) Katz; and 11 nieces and nephews.

MJ was preceded in death by her parents, Jerome and Rita Reisenauer, two sisters, Marguerite and Mary Louise and brother, Gregory.

The Rosary/Vigil service will be held Friday, October 9th at 7PM at St. Gall Catholic Church in Colton, WA.

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 AM Saturday, October 10th at St. Gall’s.

Concluding services will follow at St. Gall Catholic Cemetery in Colton, WA.
