Police searching for hit-and-run driver who struck wheelchair
Spokane Police are searching for the driver of a car that struck and injured a person in a wheelchair and then fled the scene without stopping.
The collision happened near Francis Avenue and Myrtle Street in northeast Spokane on Monday.
People found the seriously injured wheelchair-bound victim at about 10 p.m. The victim was taken to the hospital with severe injuries.
The wheelchair was destroyed, Spokane police said in a news release.
Police are asking for the public’s help to find the driver.
