College soccer roundup: Idaho women win seventh straight

Kelly Dopke had a goal and an assist and Idaho did all its scoring in the first half for a 4-1 win over Northern Arizona on Sunday in a Big Sky Conference soccer match in Flagstaff, Arizona.

The Vandals (11-4-1, 7-0-0) extended their winning streak to seven.

Dopke, Alyssa Lloyd, Olivia Baggerly and Kavita Battan scored for Idaho. Clara Gomez had two assists. Amanda Poertner turned in eight saves against the Lumberjacks (7-8-1, 2-4-1).

EWU loses to Southern Utah: Eastern Washington (11-3-1, 5-2-0 Big Sky) fell 1-0 to Southern Utah (7-7-1, 2-4-1) in Cheney despite outshooting the Thunderbirds 20-12.

Whitworth wins at Pacific: Tiara Pajimola scored the only goal of the match to lift Whitworth (6-8-1, 4-6-1 Northwest) to a 1-0 victory over Pacific (3-10-2, 3-6-2) in Forest Grove, Oregon. Andrea Stump made five saves in her fifth shutout this season.

Gonzaga loses to San Diego: Jakob Grandlund scored the only goal for Gonzaga (6-7-1, 1-2-0 West Coast) in a 1-0 loss to the Toreros (7-4-2, 3-0-0) in San Diego.

Muelheims has another hat trick: Karl Muelheims turned in second straight three-goal game as fourth-ranked Whitworth (12-0-1, 8-0-1 Northwest) beat Pacific 3-0 in Spokane. Muelheims scored three goals in a win over George Fox on Saturday. Muelheims has three hat tricks this season and leads the conference with 15 goals. Timmy Costa got the shutout with two saves.

Huskies blank Oregon State: Beau Blanchard scored in the ninth minute and No. 20 Washington (6-2-5, 2-1-2 Pac-12) took a 1-0 victory over Oregon State (7-5-1, 2-2-1) in Seattle.
