WSU’s Presley off to Israel

Former Washington State women’s basketball guard Tia Presley has signed a contract to play professional basketball in Israel beginning this fall.

Presley will play for Maccabi Bnot Ashdod out of Ashdod, Israel, in the Ligat Ha’al, the top division of women’s basketball in the country.

Presley was a three-time All-Pac-12 Conference selection at WSU after starring at Gonzaga Prep.

Baseball

Spokane Indians second baseman Dylan Moore is the Northwest League player of the week.

Moore finished the week going 9 for 22 at the plate with three doubles, two home runs, three RBIs, eight runs scored, seven walks and six stolen bases.

The seventh-round pick leads Spokane with 35 RBIs, 18 doubles and 30 walks.

Oscar De La Cruz of the Eugene Emeralds earned NWL pitcher of the week honors.
