Pakootas civic-minded

Civic-minded politicians are the best ones there are. I love it when I see a political figure doing something real for real people. That restores my faith in democracy.

So when I heard that former congressional candidate Joe Pakootas was collecting and distributing bottled water, blankets and other things needed by the firefighters and people displaced by the fires, I said to my wife, Nancy, “Honey, isn’t that great what he is doing?” She shot back, “So let’s get in the car, go buy some stuff and get it down to his office at 1410 W. Dean Avenue.”

And that is just what we did. I still feel good about doing that.
