Mexico TV uses Donald Trump to heat soccer rivalry

 (Associated Press)

One of Mexico’s leading television networks is using the words of Republican presidential aspirant Donald Trump to bump up the already heated rivalry between the U.S. and Mexico men’s national soccer teams. TV Azteca has begun running an ad that intersperses clips of Trump speaking with images of Mexican goals and U.S. disappointments on the field. Trump says, “Our country is in serious trouble.” Then he intones, “We don’t have victories anymore. The American dream is dead.” Trump angered many Mexicans this year with comments characterizing Mexican immigrants as rapists and drug traffickers. It made him a popular pinata subject.
