Pie-baking contest is Sunday

There’s a pie-baking contest Sunday at Dahmen Barn.

Entries can be apple or an apple combo, but not cream nor custard. Bakers may enter a pie in each category. Pies should be delivered before 6 p.m. on Saturday or between 8 and 10 a.m. on Sunday.

There are prizes for first and second places. After judging, slices of pie à la mode will be sold as a fundraiser. Register by emailing shopatthebarn@lewiston.com or calling (509) 229-3414.

The contest is part of the free, ninth annual Fall Festival, which runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.
