Auditions

”A Christmas Carol: the Broadway Musical” – Christian Youth Theater-North Idaho is holding auditions for “A Christmas Carol: The Broadway Musical.” No prior experience is necessary but must be registered for CYT-NI’s theater arts classes. Classes and workshops

Artisans at Dahmen Barn Learn to Paint like a Master: September’s featured artist is Georgia O’Keefe. Artist Laurel Macdonald will lead the series. Open Figure Drawing Studio – The session will be uninstructed, and will be ongoing every Sunday, 5-8 p.m. Artists of all skill levels are welcome. We will alternate male/female models weekly. Call for artists

Vinyl Wrap Traffic Box Design – The city of Moscow and the Moscow Arts Commission are seeking vinyl wrap designs for traffic boxes and the public library book return box. This call is open to people 18 years of age or older who live in Latah, Nez Perce, Asotin and Whitman counties or are Nez Perce or Coeur d’Alene tribal members. Artists will be paid $100 for each design selected. Applications are available at www.ci.moscow.id.us/records/ Applications/Vinyl-Wraps.pdf, Moscow City Hall or by emailing dscallorn@ci.moscow.id.us. Submissions are due 5 p.m. Sept. 25.

Palouse Plein Air – The seven-day painting competition begins Saturday. All painting mediums welcome. Participants, age 18 and older, must paint on a stamped and dated painting surface. Participants are to register and get stamps from 8 a.m.-noon Saturday at the Moscow Farmers Market at the City Information Tent, and 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Thursday at Moscow City Hall on the first floor. Coeur d’Alene Art Grant Program – Three-year pilot program of the Coeur d’Alene Arts Commission seeks to widen arts and cultural participation and its expression. Program provides $500 to $1,000 for projects, opportunities and events that offer an arts or cultural impact within the city.
