Two days after setting a school record for passing efficiency, Eastern Washington quarterback Jordan West was named by STATS as its FCS co-National Offensive Player of the Week and the Big Sky Conference as its Offensive Player of the Week.

The redshirt junior from Maple Valley, Washington, completed 21 of 24 passes (88 percent) for a career-high 410 yards and six touchdowns Saturday in the Eagles’ 55-50 win over Montana State.

In the process, West posed a school-record passing efficiency rating of 313.5, breaking the EWU record of 310.4 set by Mark Tenneson against Sonoma State in 1992.

West now leads the NCAA Football Championship Subdivision in efficiency rating (220.7), touchdowns (12), passing yards (1,052) and points responsible for (72), and is second in percentage (78.2) and third in passing yards per game (350.7).

“He showed some great things before this game even going back to last year, but he obviously took it to another level against Montana State,” EWU coach Beau Baldwin said. “He had a real calmness and comfort out there. Forget all the stats, he looked the most poised when he stood in that pocket.”
