Obituary: Cartwright, Lorryn (Oliver) “Lori”

CARTWRIGHT, Lorryn (Oliver) “Lori” (Age 60) Lori Oliver Cartwright, formerly of Spokane, WA, passed away a day after her 60th birthday on August 26th in Palatine, IL.

Lori was born on August 25, 1955 in Mountain Home, ID, to Dick and Carole Oliver, and moved to Spokane in 1966.

Lori graduated from Shadle Park High School in 1973 and later joined the army.

She worked many years as an Air Traffic Controller after leaving the Army.

In 2001 Lori married Rick Cartwright of Palatine, IL, and the two lived in Phoenix, AZ, before moving back to Spokane in 2010.

They then moved to Rick’s hometown of Palatine, IL where Lori worked for the clothing company Grunt Style.

Lori was recently diagnosed with a rare lung disease late in 2014.

She is survived by her husband Rick; her sister, Deanna Harshman of Spokane and her brother, Kevin Oliver of Spokane.

Though Lori and Rick had no children, they had many nieces and nephews, and family that loved her very much.

There will be a Celebration of Life for Lori on Saturday, September 26th at one of her favorite pubs, O’Doherty’s Irish Grille, downtown Spokane at 4PM.
