Two men arrested for morning bank robbery

Two men have been arrested in connection with a bank robbery at the Inland Northwest Bank at Ruby and Ermina around 11 a.m. Wednesday.

A man wearing black clothing entered the bank and said he had a gun but never displayed one, police said. He demanded money and left with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Employees at a nearby business gave police a description of the getaway vehicle, which police later found abandoned in the 2500 block of North Morton.

Skyler L. Schultz, 23, and Christopher A. Horn, 29, have been booked into the Spokane County Jail on suspicion of first-degree robbery.

Horn was a suspect in a 2011 robbery at the Washington State Employees Credit Union on Northwest Boulevard, but charges were dropped in 2012. His criminal convictions include burglary, possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of a firearm.
