Local residents earn fall 2015 college, university academic honors

Students from the Inland Northwest have earned academic honors nationwide for the fall 2015 semester. Grade-point averages are calculated on a 4.0 scale.

Berry College, in Mount Berry, Georgia, named Gracie Dibble, of Spokane, and Madeline Jarvis, of Greenacres, to the dean’s list for earning a GPA of 3.5 or more.

Wisconsin’s Milwaukee School of Engineering has named Austin Campbell, of Spokane, to the dean’s list with high honors for earning a GPA of 3.7 or more.

St. Cloud State University, in St. Cloud, Minnesota, named Spokane Valley residents Jordan Zumwalt and Ryan Zumwalt to the dean’s list for earning a GPA of 3.75 or more.

South Dakota State University, in Brookings, has named Kaitlyn Venner, of Spokane Valley, to the dean’s list for earning a 3.5 GPA or more.

Spokane residents Abigail Graham and Zachary Taylor and Colbert resident Natalie Johnson have been named to the dean’s list at Belmont University, in Nashville, Tennessee, for earning a GPA of 3.5 or more.

Columbia College, in Fort Drum, New York, has named Margaret Watson, of Spokane, to the dean’s list for earning a GPA of 3.5 or more.

Eastern Oregon University named the following area residents to the dean’s list for earning a GPA of 3.5 or more for the semester:

Randy Bohnet, of Almira, Washington; Jacob Morris and Colton Vining, both of Colville; Kelsey Cearley, of Moses Lake; Michael Hillman, of Post Falls; Madeline Cillay, of Pullman; Allie Fetsch, of Spangle; Leigh-Anne Kelly and Destiny Mertz, both of Spokane.

Travis Lester, of Fairchild Air Force Base, earned a GPA of 3.5 or more for the semester and was named to the dean’s list at Lewis University in Romeoville, Illinois.

Warner Pacific College in Portland has named Blake Harlan, of Deer Park, and Taylor Howlett, of Spokane, to the dean’s list for earning a GPA of 3.5 or more.

Spokane residents Aysha Al-Hafian, Callie Hanson, Mikayla Ness and Lauren Smith have been named to the dean’s list at University of Montana Western in Dillon, Montana, for earning a GPA of 3.33 or more.

Rachel Keedy, of Fruitland, has been named to the dean’s list at Goshen College, in Goshen, Indiana, after earning a GPA of 3.75 or more for the semester.

Bob Jones University, in Greenville, South Carolina, has named Joshua Hurst to the dean’s list for earning a GPA between 3.0-3.74.

Montana State University named several local residents to the dean’s list and president’s list. The dean’s honor roll includes the students earning grade-point averages of 3.5 or more, and the president’s list includes students who earned a 4.0.
