Richard Winton Los Angeles Times

LOS ANGELES – Los Angeles police are conducting a criminal investigation into alleged threats made by actor Charlie Sheen, authorities said.

LAPD Officer Mike Lopez said he could not identify the alleged target of any threats, but officers visited Sheen’s home March 31 as part of a criminal probe, he said. They have also served a search warrant in connection with the investigation, he said.

According to law enforcement sources, the investigation involves Sheen’s former fiancee, Scottine Ross, who allegedly told police that the former “Two and a Half Men” star threatened her with violence.
