UConn will skip its parade around campus in Storrs, Connecticut, because of unseasonably cold weather and rally indoors to celebrate its national champion women’s basketball team.

The Huskies, who won their fourth consecutive title Tuesday night, will rally Wednesday inside Gampel Pavilion when the team returns from Indianapolis. Usually, the team parades around campus and holds an indoor rally after NCAA title wins.

UConn players are expected to arrive at to Bradley International Airport just after 4 p.m., but there won’t be a public event there.

The Huskies made college basketball history Tuesday night with their record 11th national championship in a rout of Syracuse. They also posted their 75th straight win.

The UConn seniors finished their careers with four titles and a 151-5 record, setting an NCAA Division I women’s record for both.

A championship parade is expected again in Hartford. The date hasn’t been announced.
