Wilson impressive

On Monday, I attended two town hall meetings to meet the candidates running for the 5th District. The first was with Cathy McMorris Rodgers. It was very difficult to hear. Only Cathy had a microphone.

I asked questions about the government shutdown forced by Tea Party Republicans in 2013 and how our national debt will be impacted by deporting 11 million undocumented immigrants, which I’ve read will cost up to $600 billion. For me, her answers were circuitous and unsatisfactory.

One man asked why the Senate is refusing to consider the nominee for the Supreme Court, which drew applause from the audience.

The second meeting was with Dave Wilson, who is running on an Independent ticket since neither the Republican nor Democratic parties are working together, causing gridlock in Congress. Dave gave an excellent presentation about the national debt with its history from World War II to the present day, and how to lower the debt. I was very impressed.

I would encourage everyone to attend his town hall meetings to learn about him in order make a wise vote, rather than blindly voting for parties who are bickering and doing nothing.
