Obituary: Tagariello, Joann Yvonne “Tag”

Age 87

TAGARIELLO, JoAnn Yvonne “Tag”

Was surrounded by her loving children upon her passing at home on April 6, 2016.

She was born in Seattle, WA on January 9, 1929, moved to Spokane when she was 15 years old and lived her remaining years here.

JoAnn spent many years employed as a waitress while raising her five children.

She is survived by her children; Mike Girtz, Pat Girtz (Debba), Sally Bausch (Steve), and Sandra Duncan (Shawn) and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her son, Jeff Girtz (Jane) and her daughter-in-law, Maureen Girtz (Mike).

JoAnn loved her yard and gardens and had quite the green thumb.

She also enjoyed rides in the country and going to the casino.

JoAnn loved spending time in southern California during the winter months and could visit several relatives while there.

Her sense of humor kept us all laughing even up to her end of days.

As only JoAnn could say and many of us heard more than once “it is time to run along now”.

There will be a celebration of JoAnn’s life on Monday, April 11th at Hennessey Funeral Home, 2203 N. Division St., at 1:30 PM followed by a graveside service at Holy Cross Cemetery.
