Bicycles stolen in Liberty Lake

Bicycles seemed to be the item of choice for thieves recently in Liberty Lake, with two residents reporting thefts.

A bicycle valued at $380 was reportedly stolen in the 1400 block of North Ormond Road where the homeowner left the garage open and unlocked. The theft was reported at 11 a.m. April 5, but the homeowner told police the theft had happened the night before, said Police Chief Brian Asmus.

The thief was apparently so excited about the find that he or she abandoned a bike in the homeowner’s front yard.

A person in the 1200 block of North Liberty Lake Road reported the theft of a bicycle valued at $360 at 11:25 a.m. April 4.
