College baseball: Oregon State slugs Washington State to open Pac-12 series in Pullman

Jack Anderson’s three-run double highlighted a four-run first inning Thursday as Oregon State opened a three-run Pac-12 baseball series against Washington State with a 12-3 victory at Bailey-Brayton Field.

KJ Harrison and Kyle Nobach added two-run doubles in the second inning as the Beavers (23-7, 6-4) tore ahead 9-0.

Winner Travis Eckert (4-2) scattered eight hits and allowed two earned runs in seven innings. Trek Stemp went 3 for 4 for the Cougars (10-20, 3-10).
