Louie G.

Was born February 28, 1931 in Spokane, WA., to Frank and Eleanor Marrazzo.

He graduated from Rogers High School in 1948, and went to Eastern Washington University where he received his Bachelor’s degree in teaching.

He married his wife, Lois in 1957, while teaching school and playing trumpet in dance bands at local establishments.

He started his teaching career teaching fifth grade at Hamblen Elementary, and moved to his real passion, which was music, teaching grade school band in School District 81 until he retired.

They had a son, Anthony in 1958 and a daughter, Theresa in 1962.

His favorite activities were bird hunting with his Brittany Spaniels, fishing, camping at Priest Lake and riding motorcycles in the summer and snowmobiles in the winter with his family and friends.

He loved his Washington sports teams, the Seahawks and Mariners, and was a diehard Zags and Cougars fan.

He was a loving father, an amazing husband and caregiver to his wife, and friend to everyone that knew him.

He went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at 9:35 pm Monday, April 11, 2016.

He is survived by his wife of almost 59 years, Lois; children, Anthony and Theresa; five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren (soon to be 11!).

Visitation to take place Friday, April 15, 2016 from 5 to 7pm at Hennessey Funeral Home & Crematory, 2203 N. Division St., Spokane, WA.

Funeral Service on Saturday, April 16, 2016 at 10am at Fairmount Memorial Park Sunset Chapel, 5200 W. Wellesley, Spokane, WA.
