Margie passed away April 7, 2016 at the Spokane Veteran’s Home.

She was born August 19, 1923 to Bill and Bessie Lynn at Peach, Washington.

She lived at Peach until the backwater from Coulee Dam flooded the town.

The family moved to New Lincoln where Bill worked in the sawmill.

Margie graduated from Creston High School in 1941.

She moved to Davenport and worked at the courthouse for Judge Nevins and Deputy Prosecutor Phillips.


Later, she moved to Spokane and worked at United Dressed Meats as an order and billing clerk.

In 1951, she married Orville Sharphol and they moved to Hollywood, CA.

They had a son, Stephen, born in San Fernando Hospital.

In 1961, Margie was divorced and moved with her son to Veradale.

She went back to work at UAL Meats.

In 1964, she married Jimmy Ziegler.

They were interested in antiques and bought and remodeled a building in Coeur D’Alene.


Margie was a 71 year member of The Order of Eastern Star.

She had been Worthy Matron three times, Deputy Instructor, Chairman, and Grand Warder.

She was also an active 36 year member of the Daughters of the Nile.
A Memorial Service is scheduled Saturday, April 23, 2016, 11:00am at Thornhill Valley Chapel, 1400 S. Pines Rd., Spokane Valley, WA 99206.
