Men’s golf: Gonzaga’s Ryan Gaske, Sean Walsh among top 20 at WCC Championships

DANVILLE, Calif. – Gonzaga’s Ryan Gaske shot a 1-over-par 73 on Tuesday to move into the top 20 after the second round of the West Coast Conference Championships on the Lakeside Course at Blackhawk Country Club.

Gaske stands tied for 18th place at 3-over 147 heading in to Wednesday’s final round.

GU’s Sean Walsh followed Monday’s 69 with a 76 and is tied for ninth at 1-over 145.

The Bulldogs, at 19-over 595, are in seventh place in the nine-team field.

Saint Mary’s (559) leads Pepperdine by 22 shots in the team race. Jonathan De Los Reyes of Saint Mary’s is at 13-under 131, six shots up on the field.
