Obituary: Funke, Jamie (Jameson) M.

Age 28

FUNKE, Jamie (Jameson) M.

February 7, 1988 to
April 10, 2016

Jamie Funke died peacefully in his sleep on Sunday, April 10, 2016.

He was a brave soul and lived his 28 years to the fullest.

He graduated valedictorian from University High School in 2006, attended University of Washington for a while and had successfully returned to his love of learning recently.

He was at a really good place in his life, for which we’re all very proud and grateful.
He loved everything about computers and gaming, and was our “go to guy” for helping older people with technology.

He was shy at first, but very warm, talkative, sensitive and caring once he opened up.

He’ll especially be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor and ability to turn anything into a pun.
He will be sorely missed by all those he has left behind: his mother Cheryl Husa Sampson (David), father James Funke (Susanne Croft), brother Andy Funke , grandparents Florence and Lennie Husa, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

We are all so grateful for his presence in our lives all these years, and will cherish his memory.
His memorial service will be Saturday, April 16th, 2:00 pm, at Opportunity Presbyterian Church, 202 N. Pines Rd, Spokane Valley WA 99206.

A reception will follow the service.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the Spokane chapter of NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness).
