Spokane police looking for boyfriend of woman found dead in home

From staff reports

Spokane police investigators are looking for the boyfriend of a woman found dead in her home on Saturday afternoon.

Police found Brianna Folsom, 35, dead in a home 5300 block of north Addison Street. She had injuries “indicative of domestic violence abuse,” a news release from the police department said, though it was unclear if those injuries caused her death. The Spokane County Medical Examiner’s Office said Monday the cause and manner of Folsom’s death still were pending additional toxicology and laboratory tests.

Investigators learned Folsom was assaulted by her boyfriend several days ago. He is considered a “person of interest,” but police spokeswoman Officer Teresa Fuller declined to release his name until Folsom’s cause of death is determined.

Medics originally responded to a call of an “unresponsive female” around 2:30 on Saturday afternoon. They called police to the home and then the Major Crimes Unit was called to assist, the release said.

Anyone with information on this incident is asked to call Crime Check at (509) 456-2233.
