Two women found dead on South Thor Street

Two women Spokane police described as elderly were found dead Thursday afternoon in a home in the 500 block of South Thor Street.

Police and Spokane Fire Department personnel were on scene.

A police representative said the deaths don’t appear to be suspicious, but an investigation is underway. Major Crimes detectives respond to unattended deaths.

Neighbors called authorities when they noticed copies of The Spokesman-Review piling up at the house. The Spokane Fire Department conducted a welfare check and found the bodies.
