Post Falls man arrested for ramming ex-girlfriend’s car

A Post Falls man was arrested for aggravated assault Wednesday evening after he allegedly used a Chevy Blazer to deliberately ram a car with his ex-girlfriend and her current boyfriend inside.

The Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office was called to an accident in the 1700 block of East 16th Street around 9 p.m. Wednesday. They arrived to find a Subaru Impreza with “heavy” front end damage and a Blazer with front end damage that was embedded in a wooden fence on the south side of the road, according to a Sheriff’s Office press release.

A woman and a man told deputies that they were in the Impreza when they were rammed head-on by the Blazer, which they believed was driven by the woman’s ex-boyfriend, identified as 19-year-old Jacob M. Warren.

Deputies went to a nearby residence on 16th Street to look for Warren and spotted a pickup truck leaving the home. The truck was pulled over and Warren was a passenger inside. He was arrested on suspicion of aggravated assault and on a warrant for telephone harassment.
