Treva Lind Correspondent

Another historic downtown building is attracting tenant activity, this time for a $1.2 million remodel project to prepare second- and third-floor offices in the Cold Storage Warehouse building, at 116 W. Pacific Ave.

Wolfe SBMC, a patent and technology law firm, is scheduled to occupy the nearly 19,000-square-foot renovated space, according to city building records. The firm currently has a Spokane location at 601 W. Main Ave., as well as Boise and Cincinnati offices.

Building proposals call for tenant improvements, new restrooms, a skylight and internal stairs. Owned by Cold Storage Spokane LLC of Anchorage, Alaska, the building built in 1910 has three floors and basement and about 39,000 square feet.

Peak 1 moving in Coeur d’Alene

Peak 1 Administration LLC, an employee benefits administration company, has leased the second floor of the Cowles Co.-owned Spokesman-Review building in Coeur d’Alene, at 608 Northwest Blvd.

After remodeling of the space, Peak 1 is scheduled by March 1 to occupy the 8,000-square-foot level, moving from 7600 Mineral Drive in Coeur d’Alene. Young Construction Group of Idaho is the contractor for work that began Jan. 18.

The newspaper’s operations previously in the space have moved to a first-floor suite.

Computer firm has new location

A Spokane Valley computer business has moved into new quarters at 9405 E. Sprague Ave.

Billyray Covington, doing business as Spokane Valley PC, operates the company that provides computer repairs, sales and service. Under a three-year lease, the company is occupying 1,000 square feet of space in the retail center near Argonne Road.

Mike King of Black Commercial assisted with the transaction.
