23-year-old killed in crash near Helena

HELENA – A single-vehicle crash on a rural road north of Helena has killed a 23-year-old man and seriously injured a woman.

Lewis and Clark County coroner M. E. `Mickey’ Nelson that the accident happened at 2:30 a.m. Saturday, according to the Independent Record.

Nelson said neither occupant was wearing a seat belt and both were ejected. No names were immediately released.

The Montana Highway Patrol says a 2004 Chevy truck was traveling eastbound when it failed to make a right-hand turn and rolled multiple times.

It said a 23-year-old female was transported to St. Peter’s Hospital.
