Library offers coloring, rural heritage programs

The free program is funded by the Empire Health Foundation in partnership with the Whitman County Library.
Studies show that adult coloring helps maintain cognitive skills while providing valuable stress relief and a creative outlet. Add a social setting with coffee and cookies and the benefits increase.
On Feb. 24, the same partnership is offering Whitman County seniors a rural heritage program in Colfax at the Plymouth Congregational Church, 321 S. Main Street.
The 1 p.m. presentation on local history takes place after the weekly senior meal that starts at noon.
