Four arrested in Walla Walla kidnapping

Associated Press

WALLA WALLA – Police in Walla Walla have arrested four men in connection with a kidnapping reported early Tuesday.

Police said Wednesday two men were arrested on investigation of robbery, rape, kidnapping and other charges. A third man was taken into custody on a felony warrant out of Oregon and Walla Walla. A fourth man was also arrested on related charges.

Police say a 20-year-old woman reported Tuesday morning that she had been kidnapped and held in a car trunk for several hours. Police say she was released in Umatilla County in Oregon. She reported the incident after walking to a nearby home.

Police arrested three of the men following a police vehicle pursuit Tuesday night. Police say detectives tried to stop the vehicle but the driver kept going. A short time later, the driver lost control of the minivan, struck an SUV and a retaining wall. Two others were in the vehicle.
