Associated Press

Jeremy Senglin scored 22 points and Big Sky Conference co-leader Weber State, missing double-double machine Joel Bolomboy, edged Northern Arizona 77-74 on Saturday in Flagstaff, Arizona, for its 20th victory.

Bolomboy played only seven minutes before leaving with a knee injury. Senglin was 8-of-13 shooting, including five 3-pointers for the Wildcats. Kyndahl Hill added 19 points with eight rebounds.

The Lumberjacks trailed by 10 with four minutes left but were down just two after Kris Yanku’s two free throws with 17 seconds left. NAU regained possession after a review on a turnover. But Ako Kaluna air-balled a tough 3-point attempt and, after Ben Richardson added a Wildcats free throw, Yanku air-balled a contested shot.

Montana 87, Montana State 78: Michael Oguine scored a career-high 27 points and the Grizzlies beat the Bobcats 87-78 in Missoula to sweep the season series against Montana State and remain tied atop the conference standings.

Trailing by seven at halftime, the Bobcats gained ground on a 10-2 run and pulled to within 54-53 on Tyler Hall’s three free throws with 12:41 left to play. But Montana pulled away and led 80-69 on Oguine’s layup with 3:40 to go.

Quinton Everett’s free throw pulled the Bobcats within 85-78 with 58 seconds left, but Montana State got no closer.

North Dakota 74, Northern Colorado 73: Quinton Hooker scored 26 points and grabbed eight rebounds as the Fighting Hawks held on to edge the Bears in Grand Forks, North Dakota.

Corey Baldwin sank a pair of 3-pointers early in the second half to extend North Dakota’s lead to 45-33 with 15:58 to play and the Fighting Hawks held on despite a late-game Northern Colorado rally.

Idaho State 89, Southern Utah 71: Ethan Telfair scored 31 points with six rebounds and six assists to help the Bengals cruise over the Thunderbirds in Cedar City, Utah.

Telfair was 9 of 21 from the field and made all 10 of his free-throw attempts. Gary Chivichyan had 17 points on 6-of-7 shooting with four 3-pointers, Geno Luzcando scored 15 points and Ben Wilson grabbed 12 rebounds for Idaho State, which has won four of five. The Bengals shot over 56 percent, including 8 of 13 from beyond the arc.

James McGee scored 18 points for Southern Utah.
