Outdoors shows feature latest products, good deals

The boat, RV and sportsmen’s show season is underway, giving outdoor enthusiasts a chance to see the latest products from manufacturers and make deals. Some of the shows feature seminars on sporting techniques.

The first of the season is the National RV Show, which started Friday and runs through Monday at Spokane Convention Center. Info: (509) 468-5001; thenationalrvshow.com.

A boating safety class – required for everyone born on or after Jan. 1, 1955, in order to operate a power boat in Washington – also is scheduled. Register in advance and get free admission to the Spokane Boat Show. The eight-hour course is taught in two-hour sessions starting at 7 p.m. on Feb. 4-7.
