WSU’s Jamal Morrow arrested for DUI

Washington State running back Jamal Morrow was arrested shortly after midnight on Sunday morning for driving under the influence.

Morrow was the lone team captain for the majority of WSU’s games this past season, and led the team in rushing in the Sun Bowl win over Miami.

According to Pullman police, Morrow was pulled over for turning the wrong way on a one-way street. After failing field sobriety tests, Morrow was given a breathalyzer test that showed blood alcohol levels of .186 and higher.

Because Morrow, who turns 21 on Saturday, is under the age of 21, a 0.02 blood alcohol content (BAC) would have been sufficient for a DUI charge in Washington. The acceptable BAC for someone 21 years of age or older is 0.08.
