The Dirt: Idaho engineering company expands into Spokane

Meridian, Idaho-based civil engineering firm T-O Engineers has expanded into Washington with its first outlet in Spokane.

The office recently opened in about 2,000 square feet of leased space at 121 W. Pacific Ave. It has three employees, and two additional workers are arriving by spring.

T-O Engineers in Spokane joins the firm’s Meridian, Coeur d’Alene and Nampa, Idaho, locations. The firm decided on the new outlet to better serve clients here and expand its work in Washington, said Spokane office manager JR Norvell.

It has active projects at 12 airports in Washington and has worked with the city of Spokane, Avista Utilities and private clients.

The company does planning, project design, land surveying and construction administration. Its services involve transportation, land development, wastewater, municipal, water resources, survey and aviation industries. The Spokane office is in a building with multiple tenants that is also occupied by Copeland Architecture, The Union studio and Helveticka agency.

Resort on Curlew Lake under new ownership

Tiffany’s Resort, a recreation property in Republic, Washington, has sold for $1.45 million.

The resort, at 58 Tiffany Road on Curlew Lake, has 19 cabins and 14 RV hookups. Buyers Vic and Donna Goochey along with other family members plan to continue the resort’s operations. They purchased the property from longtime owners Doug and Lynn Malsam, who are retiring.

James Black III, of Black Commercial, and Wayne Burton, of Coldwell Banker Schneidmiller, were the agents.

Credit card company’s offices under renovation

A $1.1 million project is scheduled for tenant improvements in space leased by Merchant E-Solutions in Spokane Valley.

The city issued a building permit on a Jan. 11 for the updates in about 20,000 square feet of space at 12825 Mirabeau Parkway. Baker Construction & Development is the contractor for work including steel framing, drywall, finishes, a new break room, fire sprinkler modifications and other upgrades.

Merchant E-Solutions is a credit card processing company based in Redwood City, California. It’s part of the Cielo Group, an electronic payment services company.

New marijuana retailer

to open in north Spokane

Ganja Girls LLC, of Spokane, has leased 1,300 square feet of space at 3412 N. Division St.

The marijuana shop is opening in retail space formerly occupied by a Rosa’s Pizza outlet.
