Dangers of boxing

Recently I read an article in the New York Times, when I had misplaced my Spokesman-Review, in which the defeat and damage to a boxer in Madison Square Garden was described and how it impacted his life.

It speaks to the value of the public who pay to see men beat each other in the boxing ring and in the now-popular cage.

Much public concern is given to how fragile football helmets are for the head while the public eagerly and gleefully attend matches to see men and now women without a helmet beat each other senseless. Go figure.
