Field set for final day of Legion baseball tournament

A field of 30 Senior Legion teams has been pared to four for Monday’s final day of the Spokane-Coeur d’Alene American Legion Woodbat Classic.

The semifinals and championship game will be played at Al K. Jackson field at Shadle Park. The Yakima Beetles will play Northwest Premier at 9 a.m. while the Spokane Cannons will take on the Edmonton Cardinals at 11:30. The winners play at 2 p.m. for the title.

Edmonton went 5-0 and other three teams 4-1 during pod play.

The Junior portion of the tournament will also wind up Monday at Thorco Field in Coeur d’Alene. Semifinals will be played at 9 a.m. and 11:30 with the championship to follow at 2 p.m.
