Derek Barron takes three-shot lead into final round of Lilac City Invitational

Derek Barron shot a 7-under-par 65 on Saturday to take a three-shot lead after three rounds of the 53rd Lilac City Invitational at The Fairways at West Terrace.

Barron, of Lakewood, Washington, stands at 19-under 197 heading in to Sunday’s final round. Second-place Kevin PomArleau of East Wenatchee, Washington, shot a 68 to complete three rounds at 200.

Brian Miller of Indian Wells, California, and Shane Prante of Tacoma are tied for third at 202. Both carded 67s in the third round.

Spokane’s Corey Prugh fired a 71 and is in fifth place at 206.

For the amateurs, Kevin Burnett of Seattle held on to his two-stroke lead over Braden McKay of Roffland, British Columbia, after both shot 74. Burnett stands at 1-over 217.

Cameron Flores of Post Falls is five strokes behind Burnett after a 72. Spokane’s Isaac Hall shot the lowest amateur round of the day with a 70.
