Kitten rescued from narrow pipe

A 5-week-old kitten is safe and sound after being pulled from a pipe outside a home Wednesday by an animal control officer.

The Spokane County Regional Animal Protection Service received a phone call from a homeowner who heard repeated meowing but could not find the source at first, according to a SCRAPS news release. The kitten was found about 5 feet down a pipe outside the home.

The kitten was pulled to safety and has been reunited with its mother and siblings.
