Many of the 15 Eastern Washington University students studying in Nice, France, attended the Bastille Day celebration that turned bloody Thursday, but all are unharmed.

Dozens of people were killed and injured after a man drove a truck into a crowd of people celebrating the holiday.

The students are in the midst of a four-week intensive French study program scheduled to last through July 28, according to an EWU news release. They have been offered counseling and the university will bring home any student who wants to return early.

The students are housed in residence halls at the University of Nice. EWU will continue monitoring the situation, the news release said.
