Man dies in Lincoln County crash

From staff reports

A man is dead after a blown-out tire caused his car to veer off Interstate 90 on Sunday night, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Douglas I. Kerley, 67, was driving alone in a Hyundai Accent about 10 miles east of Sprague in Lincoln County. The right rear tire popped, and the car rolled onto the westbound shoulder shortly before 9 p.m.

Kerley, of Lynnwood, was pronounced dead at the scene. The WSP said he was wearing a seatbelt, and drugs or alcohol were not a factor in the crash.

His family has been notified.
