Thanks for flag editorial

I want to thank James F. Burns for his outstanding account of the American flag printed on your editorial page on our nation’s birthday. Each time I read Burns’ editorial, I’m filled with emotion and can’t hold back the tears of pride I feel for that which our flag stands.

As a 20-year Navy veteran, I salute all those who fought for our flag, our freedom and our way of life. Thank you, James F. Burns. And thank you, America.
