Architecture

Bernardo|Wills Architects has hired Julia Culp as a landscape architect. Culp is a licensed landscape architect in Washington and has six years of experience.

Education

Colleen Fuchs has joined the Spokane Guilds’ School and Neuromuscular Center as a program coordinator. Fuchs was previously with the University of Washington’s Childcare Quality and Early Learning Center for Research and Training as a data collector. She has extensive experience in education, special education and program administration.

Engineering

DCI Engineers has hired TJ Bolser as a structural project engineer and Brooke Giordano as a marketing coordinator. Bolser completed his internship with the firm and has seven years of experience in the construction industry. Giordano has four years of experience in the field of marketing and sales.

The Design-Build Institute of America (DBIA) has named the Spokane Central Service Center, a local fleet maintenance and solid waste operations center, as a recipient of the National Award of Merit from DBIA’s Design-Build Award Competition. The award was given in recognition of the design-build project by OAC Services Inc., Garco Construction, Bernardo|Wills Architects and Coffman Engineers to improve construction efficiency and control costs for the city of Spokane.

Finance

Christopher Jacobs has joined Douglas Dumais and Kirt Fredericks, financial advisors of Wells Fargo Advisors LLC, as a client service associate. Jacobs was previously with Morgan Stanley and has more than 29 years of experience in financial services.

Columbia Bank has promoted Lacey Sherman to assistant vice president, relationship manager in the Spokane private banking department. Sherman previously served as a private banking credit analyst. She has been with the bank since 2012.

Health care

Touchmark has promoted Jeffrey Bair to regional vice president and Ken Alexander to executive director of Touchmark on South Hill. Bair previously served as the executive director of Touchmark on South Hill since 2000. Alexander previously served as the health services administrator at Touchmark on South Hill.

Rockwood Health System has opened an Integrated Sports Medicine practice, offering comprehensive sports medicine services, at 2420 E. 29th Ave. For more information about this new practice, call (509) 724-4320.

Law

The Washington Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers has named Kevin J. Curtis as a recipient of the 2016 President’s Award in recognition of his dedication to criminal defense, including his work with the Innocence Project Northwest. Curtis is a principal with Winston & Cashatt and a member of the American College of Trial Lawyers.

Nonprofit

Glen Reser has joined the Spokane Youth Sports Association as a sports coordinator. Reser was previously the program coordinator at the Northeast Youth Center.

Spokane Kiwanis Charities Foundation has awarded $19,500 in scholarships to 13 local college-bound students for the 2016-2017 year. Selected recipients demonstrated leadership capabilities.

Realty

Exit Real Estate North has hired Heather Hagermann as a senior administrator and Sarah Coleman as a social media/marketing manager. Previously, Hagermann worked in the insurance industry and Coleman worked in the hospitality industry.
